Daniela Braun

Daniela Braun was born in Potsdam and had an early musical education. She studied violin at the the Eisler Music Academy and Hochschule der Künste in Berlin Joachim Hantzschk. Eberhard Feltz (string quartet) and Antje Weithaas, followed by master classes with C. Poppen, M. Fuks, Igor Ozim and A. Ivic. She was Concert Master at the Chamber Orchestra Potsdam, Young Berlin Symphony. She was a member of the Berlin Broadcasting Symphony, and since 2006 she was second Concert Master of the 2nd Violins at the Staatskapelle Berlin under Maestro Daniel Barenboim. She also was a member of Barenboim’s East Western Divan Orchestra. In 2011 she became Concert Master in the Komische Oper Berlin. In addition she performed as Baroque Violinist, as soloist and with the Lauten Compagney. Besides orchestral music she is specialized in chamber music. She was 1st violin of the Abraxas Quartet and won amongst others the International Competition in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. She performed with several artists including K. Lämmermann, C. Schäfer, A. Dasch und U. Naudé. For 4 years years she tours with the Per Arne Glorvigen Trio. She recorded several CDs , amongst others with pianists Frank Lubnow and Fumiko Shiraga, with works by Bach, Strawinski, Poulenc, Franck, Milhaud and Piazolla.
